These are my observations. 1. The dove tail has too great of a under tolerance and allows the entire base to "rock" under recoil. 2. The mounting screws for the base to dove tail are too long and cause the base to "float" above the slide. 3. The sight to base screws are too long and when tightened lift the front of the base .062 inches above the slide. The third condition forces the sight so far from zero you are unable to adjust for zero (sight does not have adequate adjustment). This product does not perform as advertised. You will not save money by buying this product. Save your cash and get a higher end red/green dot for your pistol. This system does not work! Of course it might work with enough JB weld! Installed on a XD 45 Tactical
