This Rough Rider congress knife is PERFECT for doing very fine detail work on wood carving projects. You need small hands to hold it though, since the knife is only 1 & 15/16 inches long---slightly less than two inches long. The blades come pretty sharp, so it's useful when you get it. If you can hold the knife, you can use it. Small hands are needed. Large hands wouldn't do so well.
