On my second try buying a good set of steak knives for our house, I'm really happywith these. Almost identical to a single Henckels knife that I've been using for years, except that these have an upward turn at the point to be more suitable for cutting steakson a plate rather than vegetables on a board. These are ~ 9 in long, weigh ~ 5 oz andare well balanced near the bolster.I had first bought a set of 4 steak knives by Oaksware just days before this that I had to returnbecause they were too long, too wide and too heavy (12.8 in long, 1.6 pounds) . Probablyclose to what you would expect to see in a nice restaurant but too heavy for home. These Henckels knives are perfect for the table. They came razor sharp so no need tosharpen them as yet. It would have been nice if they had come in a decent box to storein the kitchen.Other than these being a bit lighter than I expected, they seem to be well made. Note the set only contains four knives, not five. I’m not sure what they mean by “5 piece”, but it appears incorrect.I wanted to replace our old Eversharp set and these are a decent upgrade. Forged, not stamped, plain edge (not serrated) for easy sharpening.Hopefully they’ll last us another 20 years! At around $25 per knife, these aren’t the cheapest but are far from the most expensive options.I bought this steak knife set to replace missing knives from a set I bought 30 years ago. All of my steak and carving knives are Henckels and I've been very happy with them all these years. I have no reason to look anywhere else for good knives. They keep their edge and stay sharp. I appreciate that they are still available in the classic style so I only had to buy a set of 4 to replace missing knives. Classic is rightI hate serrated steak knives and I finally got these. Under $100 for 5 of them and they are nice and sharp, decent steel, fairly good fit and finish.I bought these to replace lost knives and they are exactly as described and the best qualityThese knives are good for the price but the set is 4 not 5. The product description needs to be updated. These steak knives fit my hands well and they cut like going through soft butter. Nice size overall, good weight (feels like you have quality in you hand) and match our other Henckle's knives. The other knives in our set are over 20 years old and to find a matching set of steak knives was hard to believe. We also added a 20 knife block holder to keep all the knives in one place. I would definitely purchase this brand of knives again. They sharpen easily and hold an edge well. These are Henkels knives. If you know Henkels knives then you know what you are getting as these are just smaller, steak-knife versions of their larger cooking cutlery set. Anyone reading complaints about quality needs to keep that in mind. The knives are quality Henkel knives. That being said, the heading for this item says "5 pc". I bought two expecting 10 knives. Only two sets of four knives showed up and, reading further in the description, you can read that it is actually a 4-knife set. Kind of a bait-and-switch. So, one-star short of a 5-star review.Great product!
