I bought this as a replacement for an identical unit that came with a camera I had purchased four years earlier.The replacement became necessary as I broke the old one when accidentally slamming a car door on it, not knowing it was on the floor and would become wedged between the car door and metal seat frame.This easy to install mini-tripod is perfect for taking no hands group photos on timer or remotely controlled. I use a Canon EOS 7i and it has no problem supporting its weight and is very adaptable to a wide range of surfaces. The tripod legs are very flexible and retain their rigidity after repeated use.My expectation is that barring another accidental shattering, I will have this item for a long time.
