Works as advertised.The wiring is cheap. The entire wire just dropped out. Sent back. There is way better quality in that price rangeDaughter #1 does a lot of videos, live chats, etc. and her microphone gave out. So, I saw this one and thought it might be a good replacement. So far, it's been good. It's plug and play, so it's very easy to set up and use. I've listened to her recordings and she comes through loud and clear - nothing is muffled or garbled, and I can clearly understand her. The only drawback is noise cancellation doesn't seem to exist on this thing. Every background noise comes through as clearly as her voice. If she's in a quiet room, which it usually the case, background noise isn't a problem though. For the price, I'd say this is a good choice.my daughter wanted a mic for her lessons. she recorded on it and i listened.she said it was easy to understand and set up but when i listened to her recording every once in a while i could hear a small buzz for about two seconds randomly and some words were over emphasized.good for a beginner to practiceThe audio on my laptop is not optimal. I decided to try an auxiliary mic for calls to see if that improved matters, and this mic has been great. No more breaking up, no more, "I'm sorry, can you repeat that?"The unit is plug and play, very easy to use and set up, and it works very well for my purpose. Ambient noise can be an issue, though, as it will pick up all surrounding sounds, so be aware of that.Bottom line - this mic has been a lifesaver for me. I like it a lot!
