Though I have not used a bluetooth mouse previously, I have found this one very easy to set up and use. The sleek design makes it comfortable in my hand. I love that's it's rechargeable. Good one!Not as functional as an apple mouse. This mouse feels and looks great and as worked on every surface I have tried, including my leg (don’t judge). It also can connect to your ipad which is really cool! Do yourself a favor and buy this!I have used a bunch of different bluetooth and wireless mice and this is probably my current favorite. I had been going through a ton of batteries in them and decided that it was high time to try a rechargeable one since I have probably 7 different cables at my desk at any given time. The real deal breaker was using my last bluetooth mouse while traveling and having the battery die early on and then killing the spare before even getting to the destination because I left it in and there wasn't an on/off switch. This mouse is perfect for travel as its very thin, about half the height of my other standard portable mice. I have big hands so I thought that might be a problem but its slightly longer than average length mean it fits perfectly at the tip of my palm (I usually wear 2xl gloves) where normal mice don't extend past my fingers. It is very comfortable to use for extended periods and it is now my daily use mouse as well as travel. It has an on/off switch on the bottom which I use most days just to keep it from waking my computer when I bump it (I have multiple computers on my desk with multiple mice) but it does power down after sitting for a while. It was very easy to pair and I have not had the connection problems I usually have had in the past with bluetooth mice (where they stop working mid day and I have to disconnect and reconnect them). The scroll wheel is silent and easy to use other than clicking it as a third button which is the only thing that makes much noise as the buttons are very silent. The scroll wheel is easy to click no matter where you are in the scrolling process which isn't always true of other mice and third button use is important to me in my normal workflow. The dpi button on top is unobtrusive and I don't hit it by accident often but I never change it in the mouse so its wasted on me. The pairing button on the bottom is obvious even if it isn't listed but I only used it the once and it worked fine. The real star of the show is the charging port, I honestly can't tell you have long the batteries last, I typically charge it once every couple of weeks and it has never died, however, the reason I remember to do so is because I can just plug it in while I am using it and it acts like a corded mouse. Super simple to use and no docking station or open up a door or flap, just plug it in while I am using it and when the lights change to indicate its charged unplug it. If it dies while I am traveling I can power it from the tablet or wall charger or even a portable battery charger but its so easy to have it charged up before you go that it would take weeks to kill it. Way better option in my mind and if you use good batteries in your normal bluetooth mouse eventually you will hit the cost of one of these so just buy it.Very easy to set up and use. This mouse is nice and neat and a fraction of the cost of an Apple replacement.I just needed a cheap mouse to hook to my apple laptop to do book work with. It works great!light to carry, small enough to be in a bag pack.I don't know anything about the sleep mode or for gaming. The first time I tried to blue tooth it I had some difficulty. After the first hook up, no more problems. It connects automatically and works great. The mouse response was slow and choppy. Does not work on shiny surfaces either (e.g. quartz counter-top), compared with other optical mouses that I have owned in the past.Update: I found a solution to this problem.I found a solution to your problem with the mouse being choppy. There is a piece of black electrical tape inside the mouse that decouples the LED sensor from external light. The LED sensor needs to be shielded much better from external light.Carefully glue down the piece of black electrical tape that was carelessly thrown overtop the sensor, in order to create a tight seal from external light. Perhaps painting the inside of the mouse black would solve this problem as well.Use a plastic card to remove the upper panel. Then carefully use a flat head to open the clips on the lower side of the case.Once these minor repairs are performed, the mouse sensitivity is improved dramatically.I give it 2 stars instead of 1 because this repair should be done by the supplier of the product.EDIT: The company shipped me a new mouse with an improved design that works very well and has no problems. The new optical sensor has an invisible laser, instead of the red light that was used in the previous one.I hope they do not sell any of the older products which are faulty. If you get a bad one, just contact the company and they will send you the improved mouse.I am updating the product review to 4 stars, (not 5 because of the trouble I had to deal with)…I am left completely unimpressed with this ‘Bluetooth’ mouse on a number of levels including the fact that this is an Amazon Choice item.It is described as being grey and in some pictures it looks as though it is indeed a grey colour all over. It is not. It is a white plastic with a grey coloured ‘lid’ which is cheap and tacky looking. Picture 1 is entirely misleading IMHO.It is described as ‘Silent’. It is not. Left and right inputs click with exactly the same sound as my other mouse input devices. Quote from description “SILENT BLUETOOTH MOUSE - Advanced sensor design of this laser mouse give you a quiet space, Noiseless and the mouse can be paired to your computer or laptop via bluetooth directly,no need Nano receiver any more. (sic)” The seller cannot use words such as ‘Silent’ ‘Mute’ ‘Noiseless’ and ‘Quiet’ in the various areas of their invitation to purchase to mean the same thing because they do not and are clearly very misleading.Quote from description “3-LEVEL ADJUSTABLE DPI - Easy to switch DPI level (800DPI,1200DPI,1600DPI) to adjust speed and can move smooth on most surfaces without mouse pad.” It may be adjustable but there are no instructions and/or indications as how to achieve the claimed feature. Again I believe this is somewhat misleading. The enclosed instructions refer to the charging light being ‘blue’. It is not – it is red. Blue is not the same as red and once again is misleading.I am returning this mouse because it has failed to meet my expectations on the levels stated – in fairness I should state that Bluetooth pairing with my new Acer Swift 5 laptop running Windows 10 was simple and effective. I cannot comment on battery life and/or durability. And finally, yes I am ‘picky’ about things like this because I have worked hard for my money and I do not like to be sold what I regard as poorly described and misrepresented goods.I needed a replacement mouse for my macbook pro. Absolutely loathed to shell out the 70-80 odd quid for an apple mouse, but more than happy with this way less expensive alternative. Straight out of the box and within under three minutes, it was up and running, and paired to my laptop. It's low-profile, comfortable to use and the brushed matt grey finish is not a million miles away from the macbook casing. Plus the added bonus of bluetooth without a usb dongle taking up a port! The mouse i received had some issues so the seller promptly sent me a replacement which is working perfectly on all surfaces. I use it mainly for my laptop sitting on a sofa and mouse is very responsive even on bare cushions and operates smoothly which is what i wanted the wireless mouse for. It works on bluetooth hence no dependency on a USB. Its rechargeable so wont have to worry about replacing batteries. I cant yet comment on the design ergonomics as i have used it for a short time and same goes for time between recharges. It was extremely easy to set up. Instructions on the amazon product description. Hardly took 10 seconds. The charger is a usb n plugs into the usb port on laptop n u can use it as a wired mouse while its charging. So in all im very pleased with my purchase and especially its responsiveness. Only time will tell how robust (long lasting) it is!!I am an Apple user and devotee and have been for a decade. The Apple mouse has, however, been a disappointment and after many years I decided to find a replacement. I decided on this one because it was inexpensive, light and rechargeable. It's been a revelation (and I don't usually get enthused over things like computer mice!). It is very light and glides over the surface of the table or even my duvet when I use it in bed. It's still not run out of the charge it came with. I am absolutely delighted with it. On a practical point the recharging point is in the nose so the mouse can be recharged when in use.
